Flayed Saints

In 560, the Mad Priest Leopold received a vision of Saint Adalbert, commanding him to flay the wicked and expose their sin. With divine purpose, he joined the Fifteenth Crusade, purging heretics with knife and whip. 

Upon his return from his years of slaughter, he turned against his own Church, denouncing the Ten ‘Living Saints’ as heretics and flaying them alive. 

But fanaticism breeds ruin. Branded a heretic by his own inquisitors, Leopold was cast into a lightless tomb. Some say he withered to dust, his screams lost to the stone. Others whisper he still claws at his prison, his cursed flesh refusing to die.

The ten saints lie in ossuaries near Graven-Tosk. Tombs reputed to be full of relics and treasures…
